Paris Fashion Week

International Women Film Festival

This very special film festival focuses on films produced by women from all over the world. You can watch the selected films at the Maison des Artes, Cinema La Lucarne and Cinémas du Palais. Most of the filmmakers will be present at the screenings of their film and are available to answer all your questions about their work. The International Women Film Festival normally takes place in mid-March.

Tour de France

Bastille Day

Bastille Day is without a doubt the most important national holiday in France. On the 14th of July France commemorates the Storming of the Bastille in 1789, which marked the beginning of the French Revolution. Especially around the Place de la Bastille and at the Champs-Élysées you will find all kinds of festivities like concerts, ceremonies and military parades.

Rock en Seine

Since 2003 Paris hosts every year in august this great rock festival. The event takes place at the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud. Among the famous rock bands who already performed at this festival are Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Radiohead, R.E.M., Keane and The Prodigy.

Festival Classique au Vert

The Festival Classique au Vert is held every year during the weekends in August and September. You can enjoy the most wonderful classical music recitals performed by the best musicians of the moment in the beautiful setting of the Parc Floral de Paris in the Bois de Vincennes. Nuit Blanche

Are you planning your citybreak Paris in early October, than you will have the great opportunity to experience the Nuit Blanche. Autumn Festival

This cultural event was founded in 1972. It has grown into one of the biggest cultural events in France according to contemporary arts, featuring theatre shows, concerts, dance performances, visual arts and film. The festival takes place from September till December at different theatres and museums, including the Centre Pompidou, the Louvre and the Opéra Bastille.

Le Salon du Chocolat

Real chocolate lovers definitely shouldn’t miss the Salon du Chocolat in Paris. At this event you feel like being in heaven. Almost everything is made of chocolate. There are even fashion shows with models wearing clothes made of chocolate. Also don’t miss the demonstrations of the best chocolate masters in the world. Or maybe you can try to make chocolate yourself by participating in one of the workshops.
